So I've recently taken an interest in Sōtō and I plan to take the pañcaśīlāni as soon as I can make it to a Sōtō Zen Center. I personally enjoy Sōtō due to its "farmer Zen" heritage and focus on shikantaza without completely neglecting the sutras and the beautiful koans.
However, I wanna know why you chose your school of Zen, or why you haven't chosen a school or have chosen to remain independent. Let me know what y'all think!
