Can Virtue Be Taught?

This question is a fun meme that some Greek dude said once, some dude wrote it down, and some middle easterners translated it to various languages

While "Meno not" the answer to this question (get it?), I think one can get a lot out of the question without having to answer it

This question was asked to some stonecutter's son, and he said he didn't know how to answer because he didn't know what virtue was

Okay now let's get to zen

I'm gonna make a statement about what zen is. If you agree, then the following is something we can discuss. If you disagree, then we can talk about that. Anyways:

Zen is seeing your true nature

Everybody on board? Word up.

So, let's say you're someone who wants to know how to "live the good life", how to be a good person, how to be virtuous, etc. Can you talk about how to be virtuous when you haven't yet tackled this "be" verb yet?

That is, without having seen your true nature, is it possible to even begin answering the question of how to be virtuous? Or even to know what virtue is. Or even to know what you THINK is virtuous?

That's the question I have for you guys today
