(In case anyone's wondering about the obscure source: I'm currently somewhat skimming through Jung's Mysterium Coniunctionis, skimming because most of it is more obscure than bloody Hindu Mystics (and then the foreword says that Jung already improved on the original Alchemists by magnitudes...). It's from there.)
