So I know the definition of Zen and it's history and classification in relation to other religions, for lack of a better word, is a subject of great contention in this forum. However, I see Buddhism being brought up much more often than Taoism, and I think (however I could be wrong) that Zen is generally thought of as a byproduct of Indian Buddhism coming into contact with Chinese "thought", namely Taoism. So why the imbalance?
