In order to experience bliss you must genuinely ask for the universe to send you pain. A followup to my previous post on r/zen

I made a post with a question I had that was garnished with comments and wonderful discussions followed. You can find that post here: http://ift.tt/2sHImqh

After pondering on all of the different information I was given and listening to music later on and analyzing lyrics, I found out the thing that must be known to experience bliss. (Make sure to note that bliss is not peace. Bliss is perfect happiness; peace is merely the freedom from feelings).

So, actively craving pain is the action that must be taken to experience bliss. It seems contradictory as with many things in Zen, so let me explain. Pleasure is something that us as human beings naturally accept. Pain is what is naturally avoided. But if pain is forcefully embraced, it will turn into the opposite of pain. The resistance to pain is the same thing as pain.

Try it out. It sounds scary but performed correctly, you can transcend to The Empyrean (the highest point in heaven and also a, in my opinion, perfect album by John Frusciante).
