Help me /r/zen! I'm looking for a book. I read it around 2000 and cannot remember the name of it or of the author. I can, however remember that it was small-ish and red on the cover. It was quite small, and the chapters were very short, little more than a paragraph in some cases. Each chapter had an illustration.
I remember distinctly two chapters-- one in which the author, who was living in the English countryside on a farm, talked about his guilt over dealing with mice on the farm; and another in which the author talked about zazen as a kind of "cleaning of the mind" and discussed Alan Watts very briefly.
I think the author's name was Robert... but that could be racism against the English setting in..
Thanks ahead of time to anyone who can zero in on the author and/or book title.
